Where are you now? 我仍然住在丹佛,有限公司! I am a mom of two young daughters and after climbing the corporate ladder in financial services for 20 years, I followed my passion as a lifelong learner. As I approached my 40th birthday, I was interested in learning something new. I have spent a lot of my time in the corporate world mentoring fellow employees and peers. I found a lot of purpose in both the mentee and mentor role and after receiving some positive feedback, I decided to pursue a certification program in coaching. After the first class, I was hooked and I took one step further by opening my own coaching and consulting firm in 2019 as a way to pay my education forward and give back to my community.
I offer professional coaching and consulting to national and international leaders and high achievers looking to leverage their inflection points to reach a higher potential, whether it be in their personal or professional lives. I am seasoned in helping entrepreneurs, executives and small businesses explore where they are now, how they want to accelerate and where they want to go next.
Helping individuals and small businesses optimize themselves in times of transition is where I thrive in this new endeavor.
What doors did Regis help open for you to get to this point? Being a proud Ranger has been a wonderful gift. Having an MBA from a regionally accredited college has provided a credential that is recognized in both the finance and coaching industries. It speaks to prospective employers and clients before they can meet me in person. It has set me apart in a competitive work environment, provided credibility and allowed for greater responsibility, career advancement, and increased financial reward. I believe my strong education at Regis gave me the momentum and business acumen to pursue my entrepreneurial spirit in this chapter of my life
Who had the most impact on you during your time at Regis University? My peers. I felt like we worked through our degree as one team and it was like a family. Watching them learn, achieve and level up was something that was so encouraging and inspiring to me. I keep in touch with some of my classmates from the MBA program today and very much enjoy watching their achievements as years go by.
Favorite Regis memory? Late nights in the library. I went to classes at night and creating that community of classmates where we would leave class and want to stay in each other's company while we furthered our learning and got to know each other personally was something I cherish to this day. Regis brought me closer to some really great people who I now call friends. It was a bond and something to celebrate as we went through classes together and crossed that stage together.
Which Jesuit values do you cherish the most and practice as often as you can? This is a hard one since they all resonate so deeply. Each one has served in various aspects of my life over the years. My favorites that stand out for me today are Cura Personalis and Magis. Specifically, in my professional coaching business, I am there to serve. I care for my clients in a way that promotes their whole entity: mind, both and spirit. I say it anytime I can that I coach for the greater good. I am looking to add value to lives and watch their own unique transformation take place for their own fulfillment, but also for those that they will go on to inspire.
What's your advice to new students coming to Regis? Be present and in the moment. Try everything on and don't worry about making mistakes or taking a wrong turn. We can't know today what we are meant for in the future. Trust the path, learn as much as you can and make as many connections as you can. It will all serve you down the road and there is no way to account for the magic that is being created for you. Every step you take is either a stepping stone or a fail forward and each and every part of your path is a unique road map to exactly where you're supposed to go. You'll never miss out on what is meant for you, so enjoy the scenic route. Your path, life or career, is not meant to be a straight one.
Anything else you would like to add? Thank you so much for the opportunities! I'd love to give back in any way that I can to Regis!
